From Philly to Boston to Philly to Maryland

Karen calls Winnie saying she will be in Boston for business and asks if we want to meet up... Quackmire says "yes," jumping in the car ready to go.
On the way there we stopped in Philly and ate breakfast at the Dining Car - a great place to eat. The french onion soup was awesome, we found this place on DDD.

I totally believe in this Sign.
Boston here we come.

Ming Tsai -Iron Chef Challenger, TV host and Restaurant owner but let's see what his food taste like.

I'm drunk.
I'm happy.

I'm happy and drunk.
This is where our forefathers walked and so did Winnie and Karen
This is where the revolution started

where the revolutionaries got drunk.
Boston tea party... we're near it.

Good food. I'm still drunk.

After walking, eating and drinking in Boston, we realized we had to go to work the next day so we head home. But we had to stop by the place that makes the best donuts in the world. Kane's donut.
we are all exhausted by now.

However, we had one more stop to make during our journey home. We did not have a chance to try a real philly cheese steak sandwich. If we were going to eat a cheese steak we wanted to eat the best but there are two that claim they are the best. We decided to set the story straight. Pat's Steaks or Geno's Steaks?
Pat's is the best.
We made it home. We were full, tired and I'm still hung over.

Young And Winnie go to White Castle

We went to Winnie's cousin's wedding in Chicago. It was a long trip, over twelve hours. That's right --- twelve hours --- your eyes do not deceive you. We drove instead of flying because we wanted to see all the great wonders that is the United States or at least between Baltimore and Chicago. One of these great wonders is White Castle in Ohio.

I was really Hungry but I think Winnie was hungrier --- you can tell by the smile on her face.

See what I mean... that's the face of a hungry person.

She ate that herself!!

This is the face of a man who is lucky to eat.

This is Division Street where we had dinner at Smoke Daddy. Cool place for ribs, drinks and music.

Here's the wedding. The ceremony was Cool --- people laughed, smiled, talked and cried.

I'm the guy on the right (your right). Winnie still has that hungry smile.

The banquet --- great food and even better company but they didn't serve the Chicago hot dog.

The Greatest Hot Dog in the known world! SuperDawg! These giant monolithic figures you see represent the supreme hot dog. This is where people and the hot dog become one.

Yum mmmmmm

Here the servants of the Supreme Hot dog bring your order to your car for consumption.

On our way back to Maryland we saw this sign. Apparently wild senior citizens (after a late afternoon of partying) would stagger into the streets.

We also stopped in Indiananoplis, Great downtown area.

We stopped at the Triple XXX. Great root beer --- we found this place on

Diners, Drive-ins and Dives

If you have read all of this then you must be our friend or really bored. I would like to call you friend. Where will our traveling hounds and GPS take us next? I give you a hint... Celtics.

Maryland

Let me tell you a story of a boy from Vietnam and a girl from Hong Kong and how they arrived in Maryland. First the boy came by boat to Washington state then traveled south to California. The girl arrived in Illinios then settled in California. For what ever strange chance, decisions or some say fate they met. Stranger still they got married. Though the sheer chance of meeting was extraordinary enough, they also shared a love for travel. To travel alone for some is appealing. To travel with someone that can help carry the load, share discoveries and memories is something that is precious and no one can take or pay for. Their need to see, taste and witness what is new has continued to renew their somewhat strange relationship (marriage).
So what is the point of this blog you ask? We just wanted to share what we are up to on the east coast. We are planning to explore the crap out of this place.

Let me also introduce you to our roadies. Don't let their size fool you - they are a hearty breed. They can carry as much weight as camels or horses. Sometimes when I'm tired I just hop on and they can carry me and the load. The brown one is the brains. The light one is the brawn.
We'll post what we've done so far next week.
